What do they put in lava lamps? Blue Honey

Everyone is booking his/her own room in Vegas.

Saturday, October 7th - Dinner, drinks, a show? Maybe meet up for drinks or dinner before or after our show(s) or casino time?

GROUP GET-TOGETHER:
Sunday, October 8th - Gospel Brunch at The House of Blues; we will need to choose a time for that, as well: 10:00 am or 1:00am.

It seems that I am the only one excited about this little trip.
Was surprised airfare was so cheap; $258 direct, but I am coming in on Friday, so that may make the difference.

I just got an e-mail from the Venetian & their summer special is $149/night during the week, so I'm sure the other hotels on the strip will be very affordable if we do this again.

Missed seeing the volcano erupt at the Mirage; need to get a picture of it for colorado bob.

Hey Blue-- I'm excited! I've just been busy. I am actually bringing two friends with me. We're deciding on accomodations now, so I'm sure once we do that we'll be ready to decide about the details of what to do when.

I think we're going to pass on Zummanity on Saturday night, but definitely want to do the Gospel Brunch on Sunday.

Blue, Just a note re Dr. Who. The whole first season of the new series is being rerun on CBC so I hope you get Canada. The second season with the new Dr. Who introduced in the Christmas show begins in October.

I understand it's being shown in the UK, but unless you know differently we won't get it until the fall.

Blue, I just checked on hotel and plane reservations. For round trip flight and three nights hotel it will be about $1,000 and I would be staying at the LV Courtyard at the Convention Center where Craig is staying and only two blocks from the strip.

I can handle it on my own, but if someone needs to share in order to handle the trip, I'll have two queen beds. It would be $200 per night for however many of the three nights that they wanted, and they could pay me when they arrived.

Cirque de Solleil - Love is $150 for lower Orchestra (really nice seats) for Saturday, October 7 if you order through the Mirage. If you use the ticket brokers the price is much higher.

Jamie - I'm booked at Bally's and the prices Fri, Sat & Sunday are:
$189 $229 $179
If you kids have a slumber party and run around the halls of the Marriot all night I will be sooo jealous! (I've invited a friend from St. Louis, but she's not sure yet.)

I'm definitely going to see We Will Rock You on Friday night if you'd like to go.

Saturday night, I'm not sure. I'd like to see Zumanity or O. Love tickets are pricey & probably hard to come by, and, I really want to spend time with everybody...but nobody seems to be ready to plan anything. (I don't know if I'm just excited or if it's my impatience acting up, again.)

Oh, and I've already bought my plane ticket, too, so I can be there right at check-in time on Friday.

Blue,

Made a mistake. If someone wants to share, it would be $100 for them as it is $200 a night with the taxes.

I think we should hold a pajama party on Friday night.

I'm definitely doing Love on Saturday. O would be wonderful, but can't do both and I do love the Beatles music, and it is getting rave reviews. I may just gamble a little on Friday night, but if you want to do cocktails or dinner that would be okay. Either that or get together for Breakfast Saturday morning.

Then we have the brunch of Sunday, then kick back and check out on Monday.

Blue,

Just confirmed my reservations. I will arrive late on Friday 10/6 (about 10 p.m. plus cab from airport). I depart Monday 10/9 at 7:41 p.m.

I will be staying at the Las Vegas Courtyard by Marriot at the Convention Center.

Do I book "Love" on my own or have we decided on a group activity for Saturday Night?

jamie - Do to lack of interest, I think HOB brunch on Sunday is our group thing.

If you haven't been to the airport before, there is a shuttle to the hotels (at least on the strip, so probably to the convention center, too). There's a ticket window right outside of the terminal. It was about $8 round-trip three years ago. You pay for the whole trip on the way out; save your receipt & call for pick-up on the way home.

I'm still leaning toward Zumanity, although Love & O also look good.
Maybe we all meet for drinks or a late, late lunch before...or drinks afterward.

Brunch or lunch on Saturday sounds good. I'll book the 7:30 show for Love. If you want to join me, fine. Otherwise, maybe cocktails after.

Sunday: HOB bruch. Have we decided on the time?

So far we have you & me
Craig
Marisa and 2 friends
Anyone else you know about?

Maybe we should talk it up again on Crawfords list?

Blue, Just backtracked. Craig want to do Zumanity as well. I may bow to the will of the group as seeing something alone isn't as fun as doing something together.

How do you feel about doing the seats (99) or the dual seats (129) rather than the stools?

That is my birthday weekend. I need to make sure my gf hasn't made other plans. I would love to go. How about looking in to the Blue Man Group? That is a great show and I hear the Vegas version is even crazier...

Sounds like you guys will have a good turnout and a great trip. I'll be up to my eyeballs in a trial then, but please have a margarita or six for me.

jamie - I think I am a trend of one as far as Zumanity goes; don't think Criag & his group of 4 or 6 will be around.

Maybe we can all meet before or after our show of choice.

pogo - I'll have a margarita for you at Margaritaville; supposedly it overlooks the strip & they play Jimmy Buffet on a loop.
