I checked the monorail map and I can access it at the Convention Center for trip to Mirage. Note to self: Buy Black T-Shirt.

Would you like to meet at the Mirage about 5:00 for dinner before the show?

Sure, just pick the place. I don't actually have an opinion about it. Amazing.

Do you still have my cell phone number or do I need to e-mail it to you? I've still got yours and I think it was your cell.

Wonder when eprof2 & Dolores will be in town?

Sent you an email. My reservation for Love is confirmed. You might want to let people know which Sections we will be in so that they can try for the same sections if not immediate seats ... at least Craig if he plans to attend.

Are you familiar enough with the town to know where to eat? The Mirage must have some restaurants, but I have no idea as to the price range.

I'm sure I have your cell phone will need to look in my mail, and that is my cell you have.

I've been to Ah Sin and Provincal at the Paris and the food court at the Venetian. I was living on Nyquil the rest of the time I was there. The hotel websites all have restaurants listed and usually give you a general price-range.

Please feel free to post or e-mail section number(s) if you'd like. I don't remember mine and lunch is over, so I haven't had time to read all of my mail yet.

Anything you think needs added to the link? I'll try to remember to re-adjust info on the thread so that Sat info isnt' at the bottom.
I noticed that my link with bars was eaten during publishing, as well.

5 more weeks!

We are both in upper orchestra. I am in section 208 and you are in 209 but in the same row. I guess we will be able to wave at each other.

I'll check out the Mirage restaurants since we will be leaving dinner to go to the show that will cut down on travel time.

Either Kokomo or Fin look interesting to me. take a look and let me know what appeals to you.

Here is the Buffet restaurant.

The two sit down ones I like run about $60 per person. The buffet is about $35. Let me know what looks good.

The Dolphin habitat has a coffee shop if we wanted to do that at some point.

jamie - I really don't care where we go. It doesn't have to be at the Mirage, either, although I know we have to think about the time. Maybe eprof2 & the Mrs. or Marisa will be in town, too.

I am so excited about the sound sytem for LOVE. Speakers in the chair on both sides of your head & another speaker in the back of the seat in front of you. They were very picky about the sound quality.

If nobody else wants to see the dolphins on Sunday, I'm up for going on Monday. I think I need to leave for the airport around 3:30 or so.

OK, I just saw the carpet on the buffet site. Maybe not there. Who decorated that place? It's a carpet and it's a terror alert chart!

If you are not finicky, I'll wait to hear from others, but I'm leaning towards Kokomo. The idea of dining in a rain forest appeals and the menu looks wonderful.

Dolphins either Sunday or Monday. I fly out fairly late Monday, so I'll have to leave my luggage with the bell hop after I check out and then just go enjoy myself until time to leave for the airport.

I'll join you for dinner. We can all exchange cell phone numbers when it's closer to the time?

I'm not going to see Love. I think I'll just hang around. There's a lot to check out.

jamie - I'll post the confirmation seating name/number for the group after I make my rez on the 12th.

That's the only way they can try to seat us in the same area. Then everyone will need to give that name/number when they buy their tickets so they can link the reservations together for seating purposes. They aren't even booking for October yet. Oh, and Craig's group prefers to go early.

tt - I'll definitely meet you, jamie & anyone else for dinner at 5pm. Can't promise I'll be available any earlier than that.

jamie - How late do you get in on Saturday?

blue, dinner sounds good. That makes 3 of us at least. I bought the plane ticket last night.

Thanks for the dolphin info.

Blue,

I get in late Friday night, probably get to the hotel about 10:30 so will be available early Saturday and I'm an early bird so don't worry about the time.

If my cousin decides to join me, I'll be hanging with her most of the day, but dinner at five followed by the show should work well.

IF EVERYONE GOING TO DINNER WILL LET ME KNOW, I CAN MAKE A RESERVATION FOR THAT NUMBER OR CLOSE TO IT. SO FAR I KNOW OF 3 OR 4 --- ANY COMPANIONS?

Early brunch on Sunday is my preference as well, just let me know when to book.

Tiptoe, the black T-shirt is a standing joke about Craig's usual attire.

jamie - Check back on the 12th for the brunch rez info.

I've got some specific shopping to do (since I don't drive to the malls around here) & spa stuff planned, and, I was hoping to find a sports bar showing the Nebraska vs Iowa game & doubt anybody else is interested in doing that on their vacation besides me. The alumni association has it set up at a questionable-looking place called "Skinny Dugan's Pub," far off the strip. -Not gonna leave the strip; I value my life. So, hoping ESPN Zone or one of the other bars will show the game if it's being televised.

So, I will definitely see you for dinner and a show & maybe drinks afterward.

*thinking*

Craig wears a black tee shirt?

Blogger Durward Discussion said...

Blue,

In Reno all the casinos have a sports area with TVs and betting. Usually there are multiple games on different screens. I imagine it would be the same for LV, but it might not be the game you want. Why don't you call the hotel where you are staying and ask.

6:59 PM
Blogger blueINdallas said...

jamie - Thanks. Guess I will do that closer to game time. And you guys are certainly welcome to join me, but I didn't think anybody else probably wanted to spend vacation watching a game on TV. Who knows, it may not even be aired. It depends on how the season goes & usually don't find out until about 2 weeks before.

tt - When Craig broke himself after the WH dinner, he wore a black tee while he was in his sling. He looked quite fetching. Go back & read some of the blogs from the end of April & first part of May. We had fun with it.

Thanks blue. Will do when I can. Didn't realize that I'm that new here - after April, I guess.

I've been at some sites 10 years. Yowza! Time flies.

Hey BID,

It's Bear. Can you tell me some good restaurants to go to in Dallas?

10:05 AM
Blogger blueINdallas said...

Now, why would I give Bear tips on dining in Dallas? He might have to deal with women drivers on the way; the waitstaff might be slooow; he might end up being one of us 9 out every 10 fat people he spoke of; if Hannah is correct, he should be spending his money on his son rather than going out to eat. He reminds me of my dad & I wouldn't have given him tips on where to spend money, either.

Go HERE There are bound to be some good restaurant links by city.

Blue,

I think this is the restaurant I would like Kokomos

Take a look. If you agree, I'll make a reservation for October 7 at 5:00 p.m. I thought I could make it for six. We can either decrease or increase depending on who wants to go along.

Everyone can let me know.

jamie - Fine by me for Saturday. Can't wait!

Will be putting up a new thread about Sunday today. Change of plans. Long story short, Craig uses the word "ridicularity" to describe it & my word would require money for the swear jar.
Anyway, we're just going someplace for breakfast/brunch where we can talk & that sounds better anyway.
